Golden Bay Cement – Front End Firing

SSP Engineering successfully delivered structural steel fabrication and installation works at the Golden Bay Cement (GBC) site, supporting the front-end firing upgrade project.

Working within GBC’s permit-to-work systems and strict health and safety requirements, SSP Engineering managed the project from shop drawing development through to fabrication, coating, installation, and final QA documentation. All works were completed in accordance with SCNZ CC2 / CC3 standards and relevant AS/NZS structural codes.

The installation was carefully planned to minimise crane lifts and working at height by pre-assembling components at ground level, improving both safety and efficiency. SSP Engineering also worked collaboratively with GBC to integrate structural steel installation alongside associated mechanical equipment, delivering a safe, high-quality outcome within the nominated project timeframe.
